When I told hubby that I need to do some ingredients-shopping for baking, he was like… what?? Are you kidding? Hahahah…
To someone VERY seldom cooking and baking, this is indeed a BIG surprise! Hahaha…
This time I’m going to bake Choc Fondant Lava Cake - all by myself. It means without my mom’s help! I used to help my mom baking – only when it comes to preparing ingredients and the final part where you have to shape or pipe dough!
So, last Saturday afternoon, I really put my effort in baking FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Thanks Stella for the tempting and drooling recipe! Otherwise, I won't give a try! Heheheeh..
Here you goes.. Chef Just in da house! LOL
Chef Just yg excited!
I even bought the ramekins ok! Hahahaa.. The ramekins cost me RM3.30/pc
I totally forgot about the lava. Should bake only for 15-18 minutes, but I baked extra mins coz it looks halfly baked - without realizing that it will actually turning the lava to fully cake! Haiyaaa...
I should let it in the ramekins for few a while before 'pour' it out..
tp sebab tidak sabar.. naa.. begini la jadinya!! :(
These are the 2nd and 3rd cups, they look better except the lava were condensed due to longer baking time in the oven!
Serving with vanila choc chip icecream! Yummy...
Despite the condensed lava (terbakar lebih lama dari sepatutnya), the taste is yummy if it's not that sweet (terlebih gula la pula)!
Overall, I was kinda disappointed yet satisfied at the same time coz both my mom and hubby say the cake is tasty! My mom even says it taste egg-less which she loves it coz she doesn't like eggs! My kids... naa... they don't really like cakes. Huhuu...
There will be more projects by Chef Just in future, I hope! Hahahah..
