Day 2 (25/12/15) : 7 Islands Sunset Package (Chicken Island)

From Ao Ludo Island, the boat took us to enjoy the magnificent view of Chicken Island. 360° view of chicken Island! Or was it 180° view? Hahaha..

The island itself look like Chicken, but to some.. they were saying it looked like camel to them.. what say you?

From Chicken Island, we headed to Phra Nang Cave & Raily Beach for sunset relaxing stop.

Upon arriving Phra Nang Cave & Raily Beach

Day 2 (25/12/15) : 7 Islands Sunset Package (Ao Ludo Island)

From Taming Island, our boat headed to Ao Ludo Island. It's an island for rock climbers! Oh no.. we didn't try it out. Only the Mat Sallehs tried it.

Ready to jump..

Boat taking off.. leaving Ao Ludo Island behind..
Lower deck

Next, the 3rd pit-stop for second snorkeling session. I can't recall the name. Huhuhu...

It was a quick one since 2 or 3 snorkelers got sting by jellyfish. They body got itchy. Those boat immediately flushed them with cold water. Phewww...

Passing Mae Vrai Island (left)

Can't get my eyes off the fantastic view
As I said earlier, we skipped Poda & Tup Islands as we were 'willing' to pay 400 Baht for the National Park Fee.. Huhuhu.. Both islands are connected with sand beach.

Am I regretting for not paying the 400 Baht??? Hmmm...

Day 2 (25/12/15) : 7 Islands Sunset Package (Taming Island)

Honestly, I mixed up all the islands. Over excited kot! Hhuhuhu… I hope I got the name correctly after made some references at Mariam Travel & Tour website.

We have to skip Poda Island, Tup Island & Chicken Island since we refused to pay 400 Baht for the national park fee. Huhuhu...

Let the photos do the talking from now on...

1pm, tuk-tuk picked up from Ao Nang beach to Ao Nammao Pier, which took about 40mins ride.

Day 2 (25/12/15) : Ao Nang & Island Packages

We did ask the hotel for the island packages. The best price he offered us for Phi Phi Island package was 1200 Baht + 400 Baht for National Park Fee. It was not within our budget and I have no idea bout the national park fee. Hmmm…

50 Baht for breakfast

So, after breakfast, we took tuk-tuk and headed to Ao Nang. 50 Baht/pax for about 30mins. Ao Nang should offer us more choices, we guess. But, I know... we were already late for choices! Huhuhu..

Upper Right : Ppl lined up for Phi Phi Islands Departure
Bottom Left : Selfie with background of Ao Nang shops
Bottom Right : Thats the counter where we made our island package booking.
The girl is very friendly & full of info

When we reached Ao Nang, we saw ppl were gathered/lined up as per agents’ instructions. Those taking Phi Phi Islands package were departing soon. We asked 2 agents, the price were still not ‘attractive’ enough.

For info, there are 4 islands packages; Phi Phi Islands, 4 Islands & Hong Islands & 7 Islands Sunset Package. It is strongly advisable for you to deal with agent face to face compare to online booking.

Brochure collected from our hotel
Price stated for online booking

Ended up, we chose 7 Islands Sunset Package. 750 Baht per pax + 100 Baht hotel transfer. The program started at 1pm and finished at about 8pm. Oh... dinner is included. We found out later that we could get the package at 700 Baht. Hmmm…

While waiting, we rode tuk-tuk to Ao Nang’s mosque area for lunch. It was only about 5mins ride. 10 Baht/pax. The area is cheaper compare to beach side’s cafes.

85 Baht for Lunch

I realize that I didn't take many pictures here at Ao Nang. It was really hot and I was quite frustrated that we didn't manage to go for Phi Phi Islands. *sigh*

Anyway, get ready for our amazing islands experiences in next entry..

Day 1 (24/12/2015) : KL - Hatyai – Krabi

We finally decided to fly from KL to Hatyai on 24/12/15. Flight ticket purchased a week before departure. Sbb very the last minute, the ticket was RM160/trip of coz.

Even though flight pkl 4pm, pkl 9.30 pagi lagi dah kluar rumah. Naik tren ke Terminal Bersepadu Selatan and targeted to ride the 11am bus to KLIA2. If we missed the 11am bus, the next bus is 12.30pm. So, biar awal jangan lambat. Peak season kann.. macam2 boleh jadi. So, sempat la lunch dulu kat KLIA2. Sempat layan korea lagi sementara tunggu kapal. Hahahah…

Dalam kapal, flight attendants akan distribute Arrival Card/Kad Putih. So, sila isi. Kad putih selitkan dalam passport. Tau la pegawai imi Thai tu buat apa. Hehehe..

Alhamdullillah, selamat tiba di bumi Thailand, Hatyai to be exact at about 4.15pm waktu Thai. Thai is one hour earlier than Malaysia. Means, Malaysian time was 5.15pm laa..

Eventhough the above stated 320 Baht/car, the lady in the counter asked for 340 Baht
Malas mau argue.. huhuhu..

We looked for taxi counter at Hatyai airport. We need to rush to Hatyai bus terminal to catch bus to Krabi. Paid 340 Baht per trip for the taxi. Kalau dulu, 340 Baht  = RM34. Skrg, sila darabkan dgn RM12 ye, bkn darab RM10 lg. Huhuhuh..

Our first photo in Hatyai!
The taxi driver dropped we all kat lorong belakang bus terminal. Stop je terus angkut beg we all and pass dekat someone which is one of the agent counter opposite the bus terminal. That guy kept on saying Krabi.. Krabi.. bus... now.. When I asked how much is the fare. He said 369 Baht. Mmg sah tipu! Minivan to Krabi only cost us 250 Baht the max la. Dah buat research la bro! We took our bag and headed to the terminal.  Semua orang pandang we all mcm alien! Haha.. Cuak juga laa!
Above : The taxi counter is the yellow one
Left : Our taxi
Right : The passenger.. hehehe..

We saw a counter stated Krabi, Phuket.. So, I asked the lady at the counter. Bus to Krabi departing now. The fare is 167 Baht for adult and 104 Baht for child. Tanpa buang masa, beli je la tiket bas. Another 4 to 5 hours journey to Krabi! Sampai Krabi harus la dah gelap gulita. Oh myyy…

Left : The only photo of the bus terminal captured
Right : Again.. the passenger.. heheh

Nasib baik dapat seat depan sekali. Yang belakang, semua kaum kerabat dorang. Waaaa… Sempat beli air mineral sebelum naik bas. 15 Baht sebotol. Mahal kot ek.. tp standard la kalau kat terminal bas.

After about 2 hours, bus stopped at Trang for toilet breakie. Tak beli apa pun kat mart tu. After a total of 5 hours journey, the bus dropped us at road side somewhere in Krabi Town! There are 2-3 guys asking for our destination. Haihhh… scary giler!

Our bus & the mart @ Trang

We showed them our hotel booking slip, this one guy said the hotel is at Ao Nang and asked for 300 Baht. Mau tipu la tu! Cisss.. We wanted to make it quick so I asked for 200 Baht for him to send us to our hotel which is located at the town itself. It was actually a ‘kereta sapu’, bukan taxi pun! Kereta pula park di lorong gelap. Aduiiii… Mmg berani-takut tahap gaban!

Once again, Alhamdulillah… selamat tiba depan hotel dalam masa 15 minit kot. The hotel owner was very friendly. We didn’t even pay the hotel room on that night as we were short of Baht currency. My friend has yet to go to money changer.

We thought of hunting for halal café, but it was already late. Most of the shops were already closed. My friend’s son also not feeling well. So, for the first nite, we only share a maggi cup and coffee. Nasib baik la ada bawa maggi cup dr KL.

Tidak sempat pun survey island package for the next day. Haihhh...

That’s it for 12 hours journey of Day 1! Kluar rumah pkl 9.30 pagi, sampai hotel about 10.30mlm! Phewww…

Till Then...

Penutup tirai tahun 2015!

1-year-1-passport-chopped mission, ticked for 2015! Hehehe..

A last minute plan; 2 weeks before departure.

Keje giler sebab my partner in crime has just touched down from Korea 2 days before fly off to Hatyai. Hebat kan?!

Looking at the diagram above, semua jenis transportation kitaorang naik. Kapal terbang, taxi, bas, bot, tuk-tuk, van & keretapi! Mmg terbaek pnya plan. Backpacker la sgt. Kalau berdua takpe, tapi bertiga. Member bawa anak dia umur 7 thn. Nasib baik anak dia tak cranky sangat...

6 hari 4 malam sebab malam ke-5 tdo dalam KTM. 12 jam beb! Mmg kematu buntut! Tak dpt bed coach. Biasa la kalau last minit. Peak season plak. Harus la semua fully booked. Huhuhu..

Lagi best, sampai rumah pkl 5 pagi. Tdo 2 jam, bangun siap g keje! Kau boleh??!! Hehehehe... After 3 nites, terbang plak balik hometown, Sabah! What a plan!

Back to School 2016 vs Expenses

Back to routine and it’s my first post for 2016!

Let start with Back to School! Hahaha..

RYANNA ADRILEA

Always started off with Ryanna coz I think hers is more direct. Hahaah..

My lil Ryanna is now in her final year Kindie at Tadika Hwa Shiong (Class A6). Paid RM475 for her books and all, for 1st half of the year. Uniforms, still can wear existing uniforms. Otherwise, another RM30 per set. The monthly school fee has increased from RM180 last year to RM220 this year. Since she will be sitting for an assessment in August this year to enroll in SRJK (c) Hwa Shiong next year, I registered her for Chinese subject tuition; RM50 per month for half an hour, twice a week. Hope it will help her improving her Chinese. School bus, still tumpang her classmate aka our upper level neighbor. RM30 per month.

Class session is 8am to 12pm daily.

In summary, monthly commitment for Ryanna will be RM220 (mthly fee) + RM50 (tuition) + RM30 (car pool) = RM300

RAYYAN ADRIAN

We decided to move Rayyan from SK Kepayan to SK Stella Maris, mainly due to transportation and school performance. However, we did not manage to secure SM Stella Maris. Sighhh… PPD moved him to SK Tanjung Aru 1 instead. I was hesitated at first. Knowing that the school is one of the Top 10 for best UPSR performance last year, I hope Rayyan adapt comfortably in his new school.

Paid RM73.40 for his Tahun 2 registration. Pending RM20 baju sukan, RM4.50 nametag & RM30 PIBG. After looking at his result, the Penolong Kanan placed him in the first class which is 2 Genius out of 4 classes.

After 2 days of observation, I would say that I am satisfied with SK Tanjung Aru 1 compared to SK Kepayan, in terms of the students, discipline, teachers & canteen. The students are better-behaved. The teachers started classes instead of instructed the student to do colouring for 2-3 weeks??! The canteen offers variety of foods.

Btw, the school only has 1 session which is 7am to 12.20pm every Mon-Thurs and 7am to 11.20am every Friday.

Here comes the best part… hunting for school bus! There are not many school buses wiling to cater from our house area. We have to go over to SK Stella Maris to ask around and finally we found one. I tried to nego but that’s the standard rate. Looks like we don’t have choice. Rm120/mth it is! Phewwww… Mahal gila!

In summary, monthly commitment for Rayyan will be RM120 (school bus) + RM4 daily pocket money x 20 days = RM200

As for buka-sekolah-shopping...

Ryanna

Black shoe = RM27.90

Rayyan

Shoe = RM33.90

Long Pant  = RM22.90 x 2 (No need to buy shirt coz the previous school did gave them free uniforms before school holidays)

Singlet = RM6.90 x 2

Trackpant = RM15.90

Sock (for both of them) = RM12 for 5sets

Total for Rayyan = RM142.40

Not much of stationary shopping as they already have plenty. Buli buka kedai stationary sdh.. Hahaha..

The shopping amount definitely will double up next year! Huhuhuh..

Till then…
